Broken

You’re not broken. What even is a broken person?
You can break a bone break a trust break plans. Those are temporary.
You can feel your broken heart or you can break another heart. Those are feelings.
We all slip and fall at times we get bruised and cracked.
But. If your feet are still on Earth you’re not broken. Just roughed up. You got this.
We need to evaluate the past yes, focus on ways to change our path if we feel that is needed. Yet it’s not good to keep the focus on the past or to think we’re broken.
It’s not a bad thing to step back and learn from our mistakes and we do need to learn why we put ourselves in a situation that made us feel broken.
Broken.
It’s a harsh word and implies something isn’t as good. It’s broken now.
Humans don’t break. We hurt. We heal. The in-between is the hard part. (That’s a post of its own.)
Some hurts are worse deeper than others. Sometimes it takes longer to come to terms with things that have transpired in our life.
Sometimes we
never really do we learn to live around them.
Broken is a catch phrase used at times to keep us low, broken by those who like us there or are just used to us being there. It’s also used as a marketing word. If you’re broken you must need fixed. This or that, pick your poison, can fix your Brokenness.
Maybe? Maybe not. Mostly not.
We fix ourselves.

We learn to heal to grow we decide when we’re ready to move forward to heal. To change. So when life or a hurt human smacks you down you are not broken. Maybe your cracked. Maybe you feel broken. But don’t sink into that don’t stay there never let anyone or anything make you feel permanently broken.
Scars.
Wounds heal. Hearts heal. We are left with scars. Inside and out. Our scars are like beautiful cracks. Cracks in our facade. Those cracks? They let your light shine through.
Shine on with all your beautiful unique cracks.
We’re not broke just a little cracked.
And that’s okay.
